The SETSS Teacher provides research-based specialized instruction and develops Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities. They collaborate with classroom teachers to implement instructional modifications and participate in MTSS meetings to support student progress.
The SETSS Teacher is a dedicated and goal-oriented professional who develops and provides specialized instruction to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities as mandated in their Individualized Educational Plan (IEP). This individual regularly evaluates student progress while following mandated procedures and functions. Position Responsibilities Provides research-based specialized instruction to address the instructional goals and objectives contained within each student’s IEP. Assesses student progress and determines the need for additional reinforcement or adjustments to instructional techniques. Develops and implements annual Individualized Educational Program (IEP) plans for students to include: present levels of educational performance, special education needs, instructional goals and objectives, and the special education and related services required to meet those goals. Establishes a positive learning experience with emphasis on individualized instruction using appropriate sources. Provides consultation to classroom teachers regarding classroom adaptions, instructional modifications, adaptive equipment, behavior modification plans, and other similar instructional interventions to meet the needs of students with disabilities. Actively participates in MTSS meetings for RTB and RTI initiatives. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by their supervisor. Act in a professional and ethical manner at all times and comply with school policies, procedures, and expectations. The starting salary will depend on multiple factors including professional experience, education, and certifications. This role is a full-time position.
Bachelor’s degree and at least 1-3 years of elementary teaching experience working with SPED students with measurable results.
