Breakthrough Academy Elementary School Teacher: Fourth and Fifth Grade
At Breakthrough Academy, a new Missouri Charter School located at Operation Breakthrough, teachers are essential to ensuring that all of our students succeed academically and build strong social-emotional skills. Teachers will build inclusive classroom communities (through the use of Conscious Discipline) where students feel safe, valued, and empowered to learn every day. Teachers at our school will collaborate with STEM instructors to provide high-quality, project-based learning experiences that engage students in applying their learning to solve real world problems. Breakthrough Academy is a newly approved Missouri Charter Elementary School opening in 2026. Key responsibilities include fostering a love of science, technology, engineering, math and reading through engaging, hands-on activities, while also ensuring students meet academic standards in core subjects.
Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons in math, reading, science, and language arts, with a strong focus on STEM integration.
Develop and implement project-based learning activities that encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration.
Utilize technology effectively to enhance instruction and student learning.
Create and maintain a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.

Progress:
Regularly assess student learning through various methods, including formative and summative assessments.
Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and families.
Track student progress and identify areas where additional support may be needed.
Prepare students for standardized tests.
