The educator will deliver individualized instruction and behavioral supports to elementary students in resource and inclusive settings. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining IEPs and collaborating with general education teachers and families.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field. A valid North Carolina Special Education teaching license or eligibility for licensure is required.
We are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Special Education Teacher to join our team for the remainder of the school year. This is a high-priority position, and the district is prepared to move quickly with qualified candidates.
In this role, you will support elementary students across resource and inclusive classroom settings by delivering individualized instruction and implementing effective behavioral supports. You will work closely with general education teachers, families, and support staff to ensure students receive consistent, high-quality services that promote both academic and social-emotional growth.
Utilize assessment data to guide instruction and track student progress over time. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, evaluations, and collaborative planning efforts. Develop, implement, and maintain IEPs in accordance with North Carolina and federal regulations. Partner with general education teachers to promote inclusive classroom practices and student success.
