Special Education Teacher – Self-Contained (SEL Focus)
Clarifi Staffing is hiring a Special Education Teacher for a full-time, school-year position in Illinois. This role supports elementary students in a self-contained program focused on social-emotional learning and behavior regulation. You’ll implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), provide direct instruction in academics and emotional regulation, and collaborate with staff and families to ensure student success.
Create a safe, consistent classroom culture that supports growth. Implement, monitor, and adjust Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). Teach and support elementary students in a structured self-contained setting. Collaborate with paraprofessionals, service providers, and families to individualize support. Provide direct instruction in emotional regulation, coping strategies, and academic subjects.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field. Background in behavior support and social-emotional instruction (preferred). Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Special Education endorsement.
