Position Overview The Instructional Support Associate for Virtual Learning (ISA) supports classroom instruction and school operations by assisting teachers, maintaining a safe and structured environment, and serving as a daily or long-term substitute teacher as needed. The ISA monitors student behavior and progress, supports instructional activities, and helps implement behavior management strategies.
In addition, the ISA provides administrative support to the Assistant Principal(s), including managing documentation, supporting data systems, coordinating meetings and events, and facilitating communication among staff. This role requires flexibility, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to student success and a positive school culture. This position reports to the Assistant Principal of Instruction.
Responsibilities: Specific responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Instructional Support Ensures that all virtual learning content is properly uploaded, organized, and accessible to students.
Serves as a liaison between the school and external partners/programs (i.e.
Virtual Learning Hub).
Provides ongoing support to instructors and students with platform navigation, troubleshooting technical issues, and answering inquiries.
Monitors student progress, participation, and performance in virtual learning environments.
Engage with students via email, chat, or virtual office hours to answer questions and provide academic support.
Encourage a collaborative learning environment by facilitating group discussions, forums, or virtual study sessions.
Assist in maintaining records of student participation, attendance, and performance.
Track and report on student progress, assignment submissions, and overall course completion.
