The clinician is responsible for providing outpatient mental health assessments, treatment planning, and therapeutic services for children, adults, and families within a school setting. Additional duties include managing crisis assistance calls, completing clinical documentation, and providing community education.
A Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Behavioral Science is required, with a preference for an Illinois State License in Professional Counseling or Social Work. Candidates must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a commitment to trauma-informed care practices.

Caritas Family Solutions, formerly known as Human Support Services, is seeking to add a full-time Counselor to our premier team of mental health professionals to provide outpatient mental health treatment in Monroe County, IL.

Directly reports to the Clinical Director for administrative and program issues, and is responsible for assessment of mental health conditions, treatment plan development, therapeutic services for adults, children and families, emergency services, community education, case management, assistance in program policy changes, supervision of practicum students, providing linkages, assistance in staff development and support, program and self-development.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIRED/PREFERRED Degree/Field Required: Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Behavioral Science Experience: On-the-job experience in counseling and adult/child case load, and/or experience and working knowledge of a community mental health setting Licenses/Certifications Preferred: Illinois State License in Professional Counseling or Social Work
