Students will participate in classroom instruction and hands-on training to gain real-world experience in a chosen career field. They will also engage in leadership and competition opportunities through student organizations.

Description – External Career & Technical Education (CTE) provides students with the opportunity to explore career pathways while earning industry-recognized skills and credentials. These programs combine classroom instruction with hands-on learning to prepare students for college, careers, and beyond. What is CTE? ➜ Gain real-world experience in a chosen career field ➜ Earn industry certifications while in high school ➜ Take college-level courses through dual enrollment and earn college credits through CTE articulation agreements ➜ Build critical skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity ➜ Graduate with both a high school diploma and career credentials Why Choose CTE? ➜ Programs begin in 10th grade and continue through 12th grade ➜ Students complete 1,080 hours of hands-on training ➜ Opportunities to connect with local employers, colleges, and industry partners ➜ Participation in Career & Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs), such as FBLA, HOSA, SkillsUSA, or DECA, for leadership and competition opportunities
