The teacher is responsible for the spiritual, emotional, physical, and educational care of students while maintaining a safe and organized learning environment. Description The teacher is responsible for each student's care and needs in their charge; spiritually, emotionally, physically, and educationally. The teacher is also responsible for creating an environment that is safe, organized, and effective for learning and growth. The teacher must maintain and develop systems and procedures to ensure student safety and education, both inside and outside the classroom. The teacher is also responsible for ensuring that the classroom, educational activities, and student/teacher interactions meet all Texas Department of Family and Protective Services Minimum Standards guidelines.
Must supervise children at all times Develop students emotionally, spiritually, physically and socially Must be able to focus on each student's individual needs while maintaining an overall atmosphere of learning and growth for the entire class. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High School graduate or equivalent Child Development Associate Credential preferred Participate in at least 24 hours of training annually in understanding children and job performance Maintain current CPR and First Aid certification One year of daycare experience preferred
