• Position Overview Prep Academy Tutors of Northern Los Angeles is seeking qualified, dedicated, and compassionate Middle School Teachers and Tutors to provide personalized, one-on-one academic support to students in Grades 6–8 throughout the Northern Los Angeles area.

• Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one tutoring for middle school students (Grades 6–8) Support students in core academic subjects, including Mathematics, English Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies Assist with homework, study skills, executive functioning, organization, and test preparation Develop individualized learning plans based on each student's needs and academic goals Monitor student progress and provide regular updates to families Foster a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment Travel to students' homes throughout the Northern Los Angeles area

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; teaching credential or advanced degree preferred Valid California teaching credential or equivalent is highly preferred Experience teaching or tutoring middle school students Strong knowledge of middle school curriculum and instructional best practices Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Reliable transportation Authorized to work in the United States

Work Location Northern Los Angeles, California Minimum Requirements Qualified applicants must hold a bachelor's degree and meet at least one of the following criteria: Hold a valid California teaching credential or equivalent Be a current student teacher pursuing a teaching credential Have two or more years of experience teaching middle school students in a public, private, or charter school Have significant experience providing one-on-one or small-group tutoring for middle school students Be a graduate student in education or a related field with teaching or instructional experience
