Pay Rate: $22 per hour for PCA and $30.00 per hour for RBT Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Follows the student academic calendar) Location: On-site at Reading School District Description: Personal Care Assistant (PCA) and Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) focus on student support for daily school activities and academic engagement. The core differences between PCA and RBT is that an RBT is involved in specialized training in Applied Behavior Analysis, with passing a certification exam, to deliver services to students with higher intensity behavioral or instructional needs. A PCA is a level 2 paraprofessional generally providing one-on-one support to help a student navigate their school day.
Assists with daily activities, behavioral support, academic engagement, general classroom participation, collecting data, and provide daily progress notes. An RBT is a paraprofessional who has undergone specific training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
