SUMMARY: The hourly Special Education Paraprofessional pay rate to work on assignment with Camp Hill School District is $18.00/hour 5 days of paid time off (PTO) - prorated based on date of hire Special Education Paraprofessionals may support students in one of the following areas: Autistic, Emotional, Instructional, Learning, and Life Skills Support OPENINGS: Elementary Life Skills Support Paraprofessional (2): Position at Hoover Elementary School (420 South 24th Street; Camp Hill, PA 17011) – Grades K-2 Work hours: 7:50 AM-3:20 PM on all student and PL days.
Work will be in a classroom with higher need students and will provide behavioral support in the classroom and instruction in language acquisition.
The District will support training with AAC devices.
Some push-in support to specials Employees will need to assist students with toileting.
Materials, including gloves and wipes, will be provided.
Will need to be Safe Crisis Management trained Eisenenhower Elementary (1) 7:40am - 3:10pm PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: As a Paraprofessional, you will play a vital role in supporting students' academic, behavioral, social, and personal growth within the classroom and school environment.
Responsibilities include: Provide instructional, behavioral, and/or physical support to individual students or small groups, including on-task prompting, social skills development, and self-care assistance.
Support students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans by implementing accommodations and strategies as directed.
Reinforce learning concepts, classroom instruction, and skill development to help students achieve their educational goals.
Work one-on-one or in small groups to provide targeted academic and behavioral support.
Assist students in developing organizational, communication, problem-solving, and independent living skills.
Guide students through classroom activities, monitor participation and progress, and provide feedback to instructional staff.
Promote positive student behavior and help maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, specialists, and school administrators to support student success.
Supervise students during lunch, recess, arrival/dismissal, transitions, and other non-instructional school activities.
Foster positive relationships with students while encouraging independence, confidence, and social-emotional growth.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma required.
