SUMMARY: The Para-educator position will support students in one of the following areas: Autistic, Emotional, Instructional, Learning, and Life Skills The Para-educator will work on student days following T/ESD school calendar year Typical scheduled hours for Elementary: 8:30-4:00p / Middle School: 8:15AM - 3:15PM / High School: 7:30-3:00 Position schedule may vary depending upon assignment 11 paid holidays & 7 days of paid time off (pro-rated based on start date) The hourly pay-rate for Para-educator is $21.50 per hour PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: As a Paraprofessional, you will play a vital role in supporting students' academic, behavioral, social, and personal growth within the classroom and school environment.
Responsibilities include: Provide instructional, behavioral, and/or physical support to individual students or small groups, including on-task prompting, social skills development, and self-care assistance.
Support students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans by implementing accommodations and strategies as directed.
Reinforce learning concepts, classroom instruction, and skill development to help students achieve their educational goals.
Work one-on-one or in small groups to provide targeted academic and behavioral support.
Assist students in developing organizational, communication, problem-solving, and independent living skills.
Guide students through classroom activities, monitor participation and progress, and provide feedback to instructional staff.
Promote positive student behavior and help maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, specialists, and school administrators to support student success.
Supervise students during lunch, recess, arrival/dismissal, transitions, and other non-instructional school activities.
Foster positive relationships with students while encouraging independence, confidence, and social-emotional growth.
