The instructor will teach nursing students in classroom and laboratory settings while providing clinical oversight. The role focuses on delivering medical-surgical nursing expertise through student-centered and holistic educational approaches.
Candidates must have a master's degree, a valid Ohio registered nurse license, and at least two years of nursing practice. Experience in academic nursing education and high-acuity medical-surgical nursing is preferred.
Completion of an approved registered nursing education program in a jurisdiction as defined in paragraph (S) of rule 4723-5-01of the Ohio Administrative Code. Experience for at least two years in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse. Recent clinical experience in high acuity/advanced Medical surgical nursing experience preferred; but other clinical specialties may be considered. A master's degree. If the individual does not possess a Bachelor of Science in nursing degree, the master's or other academic degree, including, but not limited to a Ph.D., shall be in nursing. If the individual possesses a Bachelor of Science in nursing degree, the master's degree may be, but is not required to be, in nursing. Current, valid licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio. Experience in academic nursing education. Experience with adult students, simulation and/or online/hybrid online learning is highly desired.
