The ESL Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality English language instruction to international high school students across various levels. Additional duties include serving as a student advisor, managing extracurricular activities, and maintaining academic records via Canvas.
Candidates must hold a BA/MA in English with ESL certification or a preferred MA in TESOL. Previous experience working with international students is required, with a strong preference for those with high school teaching experience.
Description The school is seeking a candidate to fill in a position of an English as a Second Language (ESL) instructor to teach different ESL levels to international students in a high school environment.
The CATS Academy full-time teacher teaches a full course load, defined as five classes and up to three preparations, serves as an advisor, and satisfies extracurricular (activities/athletics) responsibilities as defined by the administration. Full-time teachers are expected to plan, prepare, and teach well-developed lessons that enthuse and inspire students and promote their enjoyment of learning. They effectively and appropriately differentiate instruction so as to meet all student learning styles with an appreciation for student learning differences. Full-time teachers provide all students, but especially their advisees, with educational guidance and general counseling in a supportive manner that recognizes individual student needs.
