Implement the Mission and Vision Statements of Crossroads Christian Church and School, as well as the CCS Athletics MVP Initiative within coaching and leading their respective sport. Willingness to attend coaching training if made available. Active participation in all athletic meetings. Focus on working closely with all school staff by providing any information regarding a player’s behavior change, attitude and/or athletic performance. Ensures all players have been cleared by the Athletic Department in respect to school and, if necessary, CIF requirements before participation. Assesses players’ skills and assigns team positions. Develops a regular practice schedule and organizes practice time to provide both individual and team development. Works with the Athletic Director in scheduling facilities for practices and competition in a timely manner. Performs expected and reasonable duties assigned by the head coach as necessary Coaches and instructs players, individually or in groups, regarding the rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the sport. Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior and always provides proper supervision of athletes. Follows established procedures in the event of an athlete’s injury. Follows state, regional, and district/league/school regulations governing the athletic program. Models Christ-like behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards players, officials, and spectators. Participate in special activities to include parent nights, banquets, award nights, and assemblies. Maintains eligibility forms, emergency data cards, equipment inventory, and other related records. Must be able to perform other duties related to coaching such as but not limited to: effective communication with parents and staff; development of a positive working relationship with booster clubs/donors/corporate sponsors. Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Executive Director, School Director, Athletic Director, or other appropriate administrator.

Must be able to lift and carry football equipment and demonstrate drills to players. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and during school breaks for games and practices.
