Candidates must hold an associate degree in a healthcare-related field and a valid Healthcare Provider CPR Certification. A minimum of three years of full-time professional experience in a medical office, covering both administrative and clinical skills, is required.
John A. Logan College is seeking a full-time, tenure-track Medical Assistant Instructor to join our Health Sciences division. This faculty member will play a key role in preparing future medical assistants through high‑quality instruction, hands-on learning, and meaningful engagement with students, colleagues, and community partners.
The Medical Assistant Instructor provides classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical instruction in medical assisting courses. The role includes developing and maintaining course materials, assessing student learning, supervising internships, and supporting program accreditation and continuous improvement. This faculty member contributes to the College’s mission through teaching, service, and professional development.
