  • Work: Hours are scheduled on an as-needed basis and generally follow the instructional day for the assigned division. REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS Education Bachelor's degree required. Experience Previous classroom or youth development experience preferred. Knowledge & Skills Effective classroom management skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency with instructional technology. Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Preferred Characteristics Passion for working with children. Collaborative team member. Flexible and dependable. Demonstrates professionalism and sound judgment. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Instruction & Classroom Management Delivers instruction in accordance with lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher. Maintains a safe, respectful, and productive classroom environment. Encourages student engagement and supports positive behavior expectations. Uses instructional technology and classroom resources effectively. Supervises students throughout the instructional day, including transitions and other assigned duties. Communicates relevant information regarding the school day to the regular classroom teacher. Follows School policies, procedures, and emergency protocols. Performs other duties as assigned. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, communicate effectively, supervise students, and move throughout classrooms and campus buildings. The employee may occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds and participate in moderate physical activity indoors and outdoors. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The ability to become certified in CPR, AED, and First Aid is required. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions and frequently walks on slippery or uneven surfaces. The noise level in the work environment is frequently loud. Westminster is a drug-free, smoke/vape-free campus. TRAVEL Travel is not required. Requirements
