Duties and Responsibilities

  • Effectively communicates expectations for student learning and behavior.
  • Use formal and informal assessments to identify learning gaps in reading, math and other core subjects.
  • Creates tailored instructional strategies and materials to address specific skill deficits.
  • Partners with general education teachers, special education staff, and administrators to align interventions with classroom instruction.
  • Tracks student performance, adjust strategies as needed, and maintain detailed records of growth.
  • Shares progress updates, offer strategies for home support, and involve parents in the intervention process.
  • Implements behavior intervention strategies to promote student engagement and self-regulation.
  • Uses classroom procedures that support effective teaching and student achievement.
  • Develops a climate and culture of openness, fairness, mutual respect, support and inquiry.
  • Designs lessons to promote student engagement through active learning, hands on application, and teacher-student and student-student.
  • Submits collaborative lesson plans timely
  • Promotes independent and collaborative work ethic.
  • Participates in professional learning communities and attends professional development opportunities to fully meet each child’s needs.
  • Attends and participates in meetings with administration as needed.
  • Provides timely and clear communication.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving.
  • Instructs on the implementation of research-based interventions that are based on quantitative and qualitative data collected along with meaningful classroom data.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of content area and strategizes for student success.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and positive relationships with colleagues.

Requirements
