Candidates must possess an appropriate graduate degree and have experience teaching American Studies or a related field. Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
The program in American Studies is seeking adjuncts to teach Introduction to American Studies, and other courses in the American Studies program as necessary. This course introduces students to the interdisciplinary practice of American Studies in an engaging way, with special emphasis on the application of American cultural studies to a variety of future careers. Other courses include Interdisciplinary Research and Writing, American Studies in the Classroom, and Senior Seminar. A successful candidate must have an appropriate graduate degree and experience teaching in American Studies or a related field.

In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, and in accordance with the current MOA, Rowan University adjuncts are provided with a minimum of $2,225 per credit for all courses taught, with a maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits in an academic year. Courses will be assigned to instructors by College & Department on an as-needed basis.
