What you'll do and what you'll bring: Position Function: Provide teaching and instruction to student-athletes; perform duties in all areas of the program at the direction of the head coach, athletic director, and/or sport supervisor.
Provide teaching and instruction to student-athletes. Develop, in conjunction with the head coach, planning of practice sessions and competitive coaching situations. Assess and evaluate talent and recruitment of athletes in to the program, includes contact by telephone and mail, off campus evaluations, and on campus visits. Develop scouting reports and pre-competition evaluations of opponents. Make recommendations in regard to fund raising, promotion and marketing, special projects, clinics and camps. Monitor, in conjunction with the head coach, the academic progress, the conditioning, and the training of the student-athletes. Show commitment to and responsibility for adherence to all rules and regulations of Ball State University, the Mid-American Conference, and the NCAA; pass the NCAA certification examination on an annual basis. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university by date of appointment. One year of collegiate and/or Level 10 coaching experience, and/or collegiate competitive experience. Ability to spot Division I collegiate athletes; possess and maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable under the university's auto fleet policy.
Master's degree from an accredited college or university. Three years of collegiate coaching and/or Level 10 coaching experience.
