Responsible for the planning and operation of a high-quality Early Learning classroom while promoting YMCA core values. The role involves supervising staff and volunteers and building strong relationships with families and community members.
Requires minimum teacher qualifications from the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC). A Bachelor's degree in Early Education or a related field is preferred.
Completion or in process of attaining a Bachelor’s degree from a community college or university in Early Education, or related field is preferred. Minimum of teacher qualifications from the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) Knowledge and experience with the Department of Early Education and Care regulations, QRIS Standards and National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The ability to develop positive, effective working relationships with staff, children & families, volunteers, school administrators, members, community leaders and other agencies are critical to this position. Effective teaching skills, the ability to implement methods to address and follow up with family needs/concerns in a positive and professional way reflecting an attitude that values diversity.
