Responsible for the care and developmental needs of young children while supervising assigned substitute teacher's assistants. Ensures adherence to Title 22 Department of Social Services Child Development regulations.
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, twelve (12) semester units in college level Child Development and/or Early Childhood Education as defined by California state licensing regulations. An Infant Teacher (working with children under 2 years of age) must have at least 3 semester units related to the care of infants. Six (6) months of work experience in a licensed childcare program. Must be able to lift a child weighing up to 50 lbs., visually supervise children playing, hear a child's call for help, and respond physically to a child's needs. Heartsaver Infant and Child CPR/First Aid certification through American Heart Association. Must meet state requirements for this role; i.e. Live Scan.
