Athletic
Coaches responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Coaching and
Instruction: Lead practice sessions, focusing on skills, techniques, and strategies appropriate for varsity school levels. Provide feedback to improve performance and develop game plans. Inspire a passion for the sport and continuous improvement.
Player
Development and
Mentorship: Serve as a positive role model and ensure athlete safety. Teach sportsmanship, discipline, and respect. Support student-athletes in balancing academics and athletics.
Team
Management: Organize and manage teams effectively. Maintain communication with students, parents, administration, and others. Coordinate with the Director of Athletics.
Logistical
Support: Assist with team travel, uniforms, and scheduling in coordination with the Athletic Department. Attend required meetings or training. Help with equipment maintenance.
Compliance and
Safety: Ensure adherence to school, and state regulations for safety, eligibility, and sportsmanship. Must have current certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED and complete required safety courses like NFHS Concussion in Sports.

Positions: Monday - Friday. 3:45 - 5:45. Gamedays finish later. Occasional Saturday games. Other duties as assigned. QualificationsQualifications Prior coaching experience preferably in an independent private school at the Middle School JV, or Varsity level is strongly desired. Strong understanding of the sport, including rules and strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various individuals and motivate athletes. Ability to build trusting relationships and create a positive team environment. Bachelor's degree preferred, particularly in education or a related field. Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certification required. Must complete necessary coaching certifications, such as NFHS certifications. Ability to pass background checks and meet employment requirements for a school setting. Availability for evening and weekend commitments, including travel for games.
