We are seeking an experienced Afterschool Teacher to join our team at Palo Alto Community Child Care. As an Afterschool Teacher, you will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for children after school hours. You will be responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development. Additionally, the Afterschool Teacher will be responsible for maintaining open communication with parents and guardians to ensure the well-being of each child.
As an Afterschool Teacher, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with children, parents, and colleagues. You will also need to have strong organizational and time-management skills to plan and implement activities and ensure that all children are supervised and safe. Additionally, you will need to have a strong understanding of child development and be able to adapt activities to meet the needs of each child. Finally, the Afterschool Teacher will need to have a passion for working with children and be committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for them to learn and grow.
