We are excited to partner with a Washington school district seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for the upcoming academic year. This is a high-priority opening with an opportunity to join a supportive school community focused on helping elementary students thrive academically, socially, and behaviorally.
In this role, you will provide specialized instruction within both resource and inclusive classroom environments, ensuring students receive individualized support tailored to their learning needs. You will collaborate closely with general education teachers, families, and related service providers to create a consistent and supportive learning experience that promotes student growth and achievement.
Track, evaluate, and report student progress using data-driven practices. Adapt instructional strategies to support diverse learning styles within inclusive classroom settings. Design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student goals and needs. Deliver targeted small-group and one-on-one instruction to support academic and behavioral development. Collaborate with general education staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective service delivery.
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a closely related field. Prior experience in a school-based setting is preferred but not required. Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills. Passion for supporting elementary students in reaching their full academic and developmental potential. Active Washington State teaching license with Special Education endorsement, or eligibility to obtain certification.
