Work schedule

Monday through Friday, 8

00am-5:00pm with occasional evenings and weekends. Athletic events will take place on weekends and holidays.

Appointment length

Regular Continuous/Until Further Notice

Hiring range: Commensurate with education and experience

About this position

Job Summary

Assist with the coordination of medical coverage for home and away contest, including scheduling of student and graduate assistant athletic trainers.

Athletic Trainer Responsibilities include

Prevention of athletic injuries and illnesses. Evaluation of athletic injuries. Treatment of athletic injuries. Counseling and education of student athletes. Athletic Training Administrative duties.

  • Bachelor's Health/Physical Education, Sports Medicine/Kinesiology, Athletic Training (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • Post Graduate Athletic Training Experience

  • Experience and knowledge of organizing strength programs, especially for injured student athletes.
  • Preferred Qualifications

    • Master's Health/Physical Education, Athletic Training, Physical Therapy
    • Experience working with Athletic Trainer/Physical Therapist

    Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses

    • Additional: Preferred Certification by NASM as PES, or by NSCA as CSCS.

    Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge

    • Experience with aquatic rehabilitation
    • Experience with teaching clinical and practice skills in CAHEP approved Athletic Education Program

    Travel is required in performance of this position

    Travel will be required for off campus athletic events that are covered by the Athletic Training Department. This individual will also travel to meetings and conventions to maintain CEU credit for NATA AND NSCA.
