Additionally, as a Sports Official, the individual will oversee sporting events to enforce rules impartially, make real-time decisions, and resolve disputes to uphold the integrity of the sport.

The role requires a balance of teaching, mentoring, and authoritative decision-making to foster a positive and competitive environment.

Ultimately, the Sports Instructor | Sports Official contributes to the growth of athletes and the smooth operation of sports events, enhancing community engagement and athletic excellence.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the rules and regulations of the sport(s) officiated.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain physical fitness to perform instructional and officiating duties.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification or formal training in sports instruction or officiating relevant to the sport(s) involved.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in physical education, sports science, or a related field.
  • Advanced officiating certifications from recognized sports governing bodies.
  • Experience coaching or instructing athletes at various competitive levels.
  • First aid and CPR certification.
  • Proven ability to manage high-pressure situations and make quick, fair decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver structured training sessions tailored to the skill levels and goals of athletes.
  • Teach fundamental and advanced techniques, rules, and strategies of various sports.
