The Athletic Coach instructs students in sports fundamentals, rules, and strategies while leading practice sessions. They are responsible for developing conditioning programs and motivating athletes to prepare for competitive events.
A bachelor's degree in physical education or a related field with two years of coaching experience is preferred. Candidates should be CPR/AED/First Aid trained and demonstrate respect for Catholic Church teachings.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in physical education or related field supplemented with two (2) years of experience as an athletic coach preferred. CPR/AED/First Aid Trained preferred. Must be willing to complete within 1 year of employment and keep certificate active.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES Excellent leadership and motivational skills. Extensive knowledge of the assigned sport. Ability to work with student athletes. Excellent communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
WORKING CONDITIONS Work is performed indoors and outdoors. Works frequently in close physical proximity to others and may encounter work in enclosed or tight spaces.
PHYSICAL SENSORY REQUIREMENTS Must be able to traverse various athletic grounds and facilities. Prolonged periods of standing or walking. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, lift, carry, push, pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, see, hear, and use their hands for fine and gross motor functions; required to see up close and from far away. Position may require lifting, pushing, and/or pulling up to 50 lbs.
