Working under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you'll provide direct Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children in our clinic while helping them develop communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills. As a Behavior Technician or Registered Behavior Technician, you will: Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a BCBA using evidence-based ABA therapy techniques. Provide one-on-one behavior therapy for children with autism and developmental disabilities. Teach communication, social skills, emotional regulation, play skills, adaptive behavior, and daily living skills. Use positive behavior support strategies and behavior intervention techniques to encourage learning and independence. Collect accurate behavioral data during therapy sessions using electronic documentation systems. Maintain detailed session notes and complete documentation that meets clinical, insurance, and BACB standards. Build positive, professional relationships with children and families while maintaining appropriate boundaries. Support clients during behavioral challenges using approved crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques. Collaborate with BCBAs, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, educators, and interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive care. Education & Experience High school diploma or GED required Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Special Education, Child Development, Social Work, Behavioral Science, Human Services, Healthcare, Nursing, or a related field preferred Experience working with children, autism, behavioral health, mental health, childcare, education, caregiving, therapy services, direct support, or developmental disabilities preferred but not required Ability to obtain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) within the first 90 days of employment preferred (unless there is a current registration) CPR certification required Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification required
