Queens College is seeking responsible, attentive lifeguards to oversee pool activities in a collegiate aquatics setting. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the safety of all patrons during facility rentals, free hour swim, and other scheduled aquatic programs. The lifeguard will maintain constant surveillance of the pool area, enforce all safety rules and facility policies, and respond promptly and effectively to emergencies.
Duties: and Responsibilities:
The lifeguard will oversee daily pool operations during assigned shifts, including monitoring swimmers, supervising rental groups, and supporting free swim periods for students and community members. This role requires maintaining a professional presence on deck, proactively identifying potential hazards, and ensuring that all participants follow established safety guidelines.
