Working alongside school districts, after school programs, and community partners, you'll create experiences that strengthen confidence, promote belonging, and help students discover what they're capable of both on and off the field. If you're passionate about coaching, mentoring young people, and making a positive impact through sports, we'd love to have you on our team. This is a grant funded, seasonal position supporting school based after school programs during the academic year. How You'll Make an Impact Coach engaging after school sports programs that help youth build athletic skills, confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Build meaningful relationships with youth, families, school staff, and community partners while serving as a positive role model. Help ensure programs operate safely, effectively, and in alignment with YMCA standards while supporting a fun and rewarding experience for every participant. Schedule This is a part-time, seasonal position that follows the school calendar and is offered during the academic year on school days only. Instructors typically work 2 to 3 days per week, approximately 6 to 10 hours each week, with afternoon hours that fit well with school schedules. Depending on the program, additional opportunities may be available to support practices, tournaments, special events, family engagement activities, or staff trainings throughout the year. Who We're Looking For We're looking for enthusiastic coaches, mentors, athletes, and leaders who believe sports can change lives. The ideal candidate enjoys working with young people, creates positive and inclusive experiences, and understands that every practice is an opportunity to build confidence, character, and lifelong skills.
