  • Classroom Assistance: Assist the lead teacher in implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities.
  • Support the lead teacher in creating a positive and engaging classroom environment.
  • Student Support: Provide one-on-one assistance to students who require additional support or accommodations.
  • Foster the social, emotional, and cognitive development of students through interactions and activities.
  • Small Group Instruction: Lead small group activities under the guidance of the lead teacher.
  • Provide targeted instruction and support to small groups of students based on their individual needs.
  • Behavioral Management: Assist in managing student behavior and promoting positive social interactions.
  • Implement behavior management strategies in collaboration with the lead teacher.
  • Learning Materials Preparation: Assist in preparing and organizing learning materials, resources, and supplies for classroom activities.
  • Set up learning centers and learning stations to support student engagement and exploration.
  • Student Assessment: Assist in conducting informal assessments and observations of students' progress and development.

  • This can typically be accomplished within a week to get you started.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Capacity for sitting, standing, walking, bending and stopping for long periods of time, as these happen throughout the eight-hour day.
  • Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • CPR and first aid certification.
  • Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with children.
