The Lead Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities for infants while maintaining a safe and stimulating environment. They must document child growth, communicate with parents, and mentor assistant teachers in accordance with state licensing standards.
Candidates should have experience in licensed childcare and knowledge of infant developmental stages. A CDA credential or Early Childhood Education degree is preferred, along with CPR and First Aid certification.

Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for infants and mobile infants Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that supports early developmental milestones Monitor and document each child's growth, development, and daily activities Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom in compliance with licensing and health standards Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides Follow proper feeding, diapering, and sleep safety protocols in accordance with state regulations
