Summary: Provides clinical assessment, behavioral health treatment, case management, care coordination, and crisis intervention for children, adolescents and their families across all professional and clinical settings.
Essential Functions: Accurately assesses and documents client presenting problems, history, symptomology, mental status, and diagnosis. Prescribes initial interventions in a timely manner. Assists in developing specific, realistic, and measurable treatment goals and objectives. Employs strategies of intervention that are consistent with empirically supported treatments and consistent with program expectations. Coordinates client care with other service providers and community resources to assure continuity of care. Completes clinical charting and other related administrative paperwork in accordance with policy standards. Remains current in general knowledge of psychopharmacology in pediatric behavioral healthcare and collaborates consistently with team psychiatrist. Education Requirement: Master's Degree from an accredited university or professional school of Counseling, Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy, required. Licensure Requirement: Appropriate Ohio licensure, required. Must remain current in required licensure and clinical or other training as required. Independent license, preferred. Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance as required by hospital policy and position-specific requirements. Must pass motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications, and training set forth by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and maintain qualification of insurance guidelines. Intern-to-Hire Provision: Internal or organizational interns who have completed their academic program may be hired while awaiting full licensure, provided they hold a valid Ohio Board Trainee Registration. Candidates must be operating within the initial 60-day post-graduation window or an approved trainee extension (up to 6 months maximum).
