Assist the Head Coach in designing and leading swim team workouts to improve member technique. Maintain the cleanliness of aquatics facilities and help register new participants for the team.
Requires a high school diploma, one year of swim coaching experience, and certifications from ASCA and USA Swimming. Must hold current Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid certifications.
As an Aquatics Assistant Swim Team Coach, you must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. You will help our Swim Team members improve their swimming in our state-of-the-art recreational and lap pools, both indoors and out. You will work with the Head Swim Team Coach to write and head Swim Team Group Workouts. You will help the Head Swim Team Coach register new participants for the Team and maintain the cleanliness and order of our Aquatics Facilities. Job
Offers competitive swimmers the opportunity to master technique Runs daily practices under the direction of the head coach Promotes all Life Time products, services and programs Minimum Required Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or GED Years of Experience: 1 year of swim coaching experience Member of ASCA Member of USA Swimming Successfully complete and pass Life Time Swim Instructor Certification Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20lbs Licenses / Certifications / Registrations: Lifeguard certification to StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first). For Canada, Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C. Lifeguard Certification within 60 days of hire Must complete all job specific requirements with Life Time Education.
ASCA Level 1 Certification or higher Pay This is an hourly position with wages starting at $16.00 and pays up to $19.00, based on experience and qualifications.
