About the role

The Seasonal Coach is responsible for leading student-athletes through practices and competitions while fostering skill development and sportsmanship. They must ensure a safe environment and uphold the Catholic mission and values of the school.

The educational experience provided to our students and their families is rooted in a higher calling from God to honor and celebrate the gifts He has given us.Job Summary The Seasonal Coach is responsible for leading and developing student-athletes in a manner that supports the mission and values of the Catholic high school.

The coach fosters athletic skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, leadership, and personal growth while promoting a positive and faith-filled environment.

The Seasonal Coach serves as a role model for students and upholds the policies, procedures, and expectations of the school and athletic department.Job Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and conduct practices and competitions during the assigned athletic season.

Teach sport-specific skills, strategies, and fundamentals appropriate to the age and ability of student-athletes.

Promote good sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and respect for teammates, opponents, officials, and spectators.

Foster an environment that supports the school's Catholic mission and values.

Supervise student-athletes before, during, and after practices, games, and team activities.

Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants by following established safety protocols.

Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, school administration, and the Athletic Director.

Maintain accurate attendance, equipment inventories, and other required records.

Attend coaches' meetings and complete required trainings and certifications.

Ensure compliance with all school policies and applicable athletic association rules and regulations.

Model professionalism, integrity, and ethical behavior at all times.

Job Requirements

High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.

Previous coaching and/or competitive playing experience in the assigned sport preferred.

Knowledge of sport-specific techniques, rules, and safety practices.

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to motivate and mentor high school student-athletes.

Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education.

Successful completion of all required background screenings and safe environment training.
