If you enjoy working with people, planning activities, encouraging others, and building relationships, this could be the perfect fit. As a Job Coach in our Vocational Day Program, you'll support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they build life skills, participate in activities, and enjoy meaningful experiences in their community. No previous job coaching experience is required. Paid training provided. Schedule Monday-Friday Day shift No evenings No weekends Consistent daytime schedule What You'll Do As a Job Coach, you'll spend your day supporting adults with disabilities in a fun, structured environment. You'll encourage participation, help individuals develop independence, and create a positive experience every day.
  • Responsibilities include: Support adults with disabilities as they participate in daily activities and life skills programming Lead or assist with crafts, games, exercise, music, seasonal projects, and other recreational activities Encourage social interaction, communication, and independence Provide positive redirection and behavioral support when needed Accompany participants on community outings such as parks, restaurants, shopping, bowling, ice cream, libraries, or local events Assist participants with daily routines as outlined in their individualized support plans Complete daily documentation on participant progress, behaviors, and activities using a computer Communicate participant progress and concerns with supervisors and team members Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment We're Looking For Someone Who Enjoys working with people Has patience, compassion, and a positive attitude Can encourage others while promoting independence Is dependable and enjoys a consistent routine Is creative and enjoys leading activities and keeping others engaged Can stay calm and provide respectful redirection when needed Is willing to learn and complete required trainings Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist participants throughout the day Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed Ability to accompany participants on community outings and recreational activities May occasionally assist participants with mobility, personal care, or other individualized supports as outlined in their service plan Why You'll Love This Job Monday-Friday schedule No nights or weekends Paid training and certifications Variety in your day with activities and community outings Build meaningful relationships with adults eager to learn and socialize Friendly, supportive team environment Work that truly makes a difference in someone's life If you're looking for more than just a job, this is an opportunity to help adults with disabilities build confidence, develop life skills, and enjoy meaningful experiences in their community. QualificationsQualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Previous experience in caregiving, Direct Support Professional (DSP), childcare, education, recreation, customer service, healthcare, senior care, or social services is helpful but not required Valid driver's license with a good driving record (required) Ability to transport participants in agency vehicles for community outings Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry Ability to write clear daily notes regarding participant progress and behaviors Must successfully complete a criminal background check
  • Must complete agency-paid training, including: CPR/First Aid MANDT (behavior management/de-escalation) Client-specific trainings Other required agency trainings

Requirements

Requires a valid driver's license, a high school diploma or GED (preferred), and the ability to pass a criminal background check. Candidates must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and complete agency-paid certifications including CPR and MANDT.
