Make a meaningful difference in the lives of middle school students by joining a supportive Illinois school community as a Bilingual (Spanish/English) School Counselor. Clarifi Staffing Solutions is seeking a dedicated professional for a full-time temporary assignment running August 11 through November 16.
This 37.5-hour-per-week opportunity includes a paid lunch and offers the chance to work closely with students during an important stage of their academic and personal development. As a key member of the student support team, you'll provide counseling services, advocate for student well-being, and collaborate with educators and families to create positive outcomes. Your ability to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish will help strengthen family engagement, build trust, and ensure students receive the support they need to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
As a Bilingual School Counselor, you'll serve as a trusted resource for middle school students by providing academic, social-emotional, and behavioral support through individual and group counseling services. You'll collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to identify student needs, develop intervention plans, and advocate for student success. Additional responsibilities include responding to student crises, facilitating conflict resolution, maintaining accurate and confidential documentation, participating in multidisciplinary team meetings, and helping cultivate a safe, welcoming, and inclusive school community where every student can thrive.
We're looking for a compassionate professional who holds a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Counselor endorsement and is fluent in both English and Spanish. While prior school-based counseling experience is preferred, we also welcome candidates with strong counseling skills and a commitment to student success. The ideal candidate is an effective communicator, values collaboration, demonstrates sound organizational skills, and is dedicated to supporting the academic, personal, and emotional growth of middle school students.
