About the role

The Lead Teacher is responsible for managing an infant or toddler classroom, implementing age-appropriate learning activities, and ensuring the safety and well-being of the children. They must also maintain clear communication with families regarding daily updates and progress while supporting their co-teacher.

Pay

  • $18–$22/hour (based on verified experience + credentials) Full-Time | Monday–Friday |
  • Required shifts: 8:00–5:00, 8:30–5:30, or 9:00–6:00

We’re hiring an Infant/Toddler Lead Teacher who loves working with little ones and believes babies and toddlers thrive with warmth, structure, and intentional learning. What You’ll Do (Lead Infant/Toddler Teacher) Lead an infant or toddler classroom with consistent routines and responsive care Plan and implement age-appropriate learning (language, sensory, motor, social-emotional) Follow safe sleep, sanitation, bottle handling, and active supervision standards Provide clear daily updates to families (feeds, diapers, naps, notes) Keep the classroom clean, organized, and prepared Support and guide your co-teacher/assistant so the day runs smoothly Track children’s needs and progress to support individualized care Openings Lead Infant Teacher (approx. 0–16 months) Lead Toddler Teacher (approx. 12–24 months) What We’re Looking For Experience as an Infant Teacher or Toddler Teacher in a licensed childcare setting Strong organization and ability to manage a busy room with multiple needs at once Reliable attendance and professional communication Ability to pass background checks and meet state health/safety requirements CDA or ECE coursework preferred (we support CDA completion with paid training) Why Teachers Choose The Tot Spot The Tot Spot Early Education Academy is family-owned (not corporate), values-driven, and supportive.
