What you will bring
High School Diploma or equivalent education.
60 hours college credits OR Passed the ParaPro assessment before 9/23 through Pearson 9/23 – 6/20/24; though ETS 7/1/24 – 6/30/26; after 7/1/26 – Parapathways assessment through ET OR 20 HR substitute certificate course
Valid Missouri Driver’s license.
Successful background clearance, physical, agility test, and drug/alcohol screening.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, grasp, reach, stoop, crouch, crawl, and run.
What you will do
Support students in a classroom setting at the Hope Learning Academy and complete appropriate data tracking and entry.
Provide instruction and assistance that meets students’ Individual Education Plan (IEP) goals and objectives.
Encourage student independence while following the classroom schedule and implementing educational programs.
Foster a stimulating, accepting, and safe learning environment for all students.
What we prefer
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in an education or human services related field.
Experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
Classroom setting experience.
