About the role

The ARC of the Treasure Coast, a diverse and progressive non-profit organization, is seeking Seasonal Summer Camp Counselors to support our Out-of-School Program. This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact while gaining hands-on experience, with the potential to continue into the school year in our after-school program.

Position Details

Dates: June 3 – August 7 Schedule: 40 hours per week Shifts: 8-hour shifts scheduled between 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM (opener or closer)

Responsibilities

Provide care and supervision to children during summer camp activities and community outings Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote communication, behavioral, and social skills Support individuals in developing independence and daily living skills Maintain regular communication with supervisors regarding participant progress Attend training and professional development opportunities Complete required documentation for program performance and grant reporting Safely transport participants using ARC vehicles for scheduled activities Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED (or currently enrolled in high school or a vocational program) Preferred: At least one (1) year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
