About the role

Provide outpatient psychiatric care to adults, adolescents, and children within a community-based multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include managing a Monday-Friday schedule with rotational call and potential teaching opportunities for medical students.

Job Summary

The Providence Center (TPC), an affiliate of Care New England, is seeking an outpatient Psychiatrist to join our collaborative and dedicated multidisciplinary team. With 60 programs and 28 locations, TPC provides multiple levels of care to adults, adolescents, and children affected by psychiatric disorders, psychosocial issues, and substance use disorders by providing treatment and supportive services within a community setting. If you would enjoy practicing community-based psychiatry in Rhode Island’s largest community mental health clinic with affiliation and support from Butler Hospital and Brown University’s Department of Psychiatry, please consider our opportunity.

Duties & Responsibilities

Monday - Friday schedule 8

00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. including administration time with compensated light rotational call Opportunities to teach Brown University residents and medical students (Brown faculty appointment available) A culture of collaboration and collegiality caring for an underserved population Visa sponsorship available Eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness and Loan repayment Competitive base salary, and generous benefit package including CME, malpractice insurance coverage, and employer retirement match program

Requirements

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) required. Relevant clinical experience, preferably in a multi-disciplinary setting. Qualified for medical licensure in the State of Rhode Island. Board Certified/ Board-eligible in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
