The Assistant Teacher supports the teaching team in coordinating curriculum and managing daily classroom operations. They are responsible for implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans and maintaining safe child-to-staff ratios.
The Assistant Teacher is responsible for participating in a cohesive teaching team, assisting with the coordination of curriculum, and helping to assist in management of the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom. This includes, but is not limited to, structuring and implementing lesson plans to ensure developmentally appropriate programming, developmentally appropriate transitional activities, and maintaining the appropriate child/staff ratio. Assistant Teachers must understand the children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged.
State Police, Child Abuse and Fingerprints/FBI. Nine (9) month position (follow the Northern Cambria School District schedule).
