1 behavior and social-emotional support to students with IEPs to ensure their growth and access to learning. Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP), collect behavioral data, and collaborate with the Inclusion Team and teachers.
Requires a bachelor's degree (or specific college units) and at least one year of experience in a school-based special education or behavior intervention role. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and data collection is required, with an RBT license and Spanish bilingualism preferred.
Education: Possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred OR Must complete 12 semester units and/or 18 quarter units and be currently enrolled for the same units Registered Behavior Therapy (RBT) License preferred Experience: At least 1 year of previous experience working in a school-based setting as a Special Education Assistant, paraprofessional, Behavior Interventionist (BII), Behavior Therapist (BT), or related position required Skills and Abilities Proficient with Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Proficient in data collection Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Alignment with core characteristics required of every PUC employee: pursuit of excellence, innovation, community, tenacity, and authenticity Must be flexible and team-oriented Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Bilingual in Spanish preferred Strong work ethic, accountability, and ownership of work Regular attendance, dependability, and punctuality in conformance with the standards are essential to the successful performance of this position The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Occasionally required to kneel, climb and reach with hands and arms above shoulder level, lift up to 30 pounds. To bend, sit, stand, squat, stoop, walk, push, pull, and reach with hands and arms at shoulder level or below.
