The Team Member we are searching for The ideal Behavior Implementation Interventionist (BII) believes in and is passionate about the mission and commitments of PUC Schools and exhibits this through their leadership, reflection, execution of school culture, and collaboration to ensure student success. This team member will support the Inclusion Team in providing service minutes to support the growth of students with IEPs based on behavior and social-emotional needs. All PUC school students participate in full inclusion.

  • Work directly with student(s), often 1:1 in the classroom and school environment, to implement their behavior plans and ensure access to appropriate supports based on their IEP Collect data on behavior for interpretation by BID, Inclusion Specialist, and other charter staff Compile multiple types of data records daily, weekly, and monthly Record and track support in Welligent on at least a weekly basis Direct all parent inquiries to the BID and Inclusion Specialist Attend and complete all required trainings as assigned by PUC, your site leader, and/or BID and Inclusion Specialist Foster a safe and nurturing learning environment in collaboration with teachers and staff Build professional knowledge Demonstrate support and knowledge of the school's goals and mission Perform other duties as assigned QualificationsWhat do we require from you?
  • Minimum Qualifications

    Education: Possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred OR Must complete 12 semester units and/or 18 quarter units and be currently enrolled for the same units Registered Behavior Therapy (RBT) License preferred Experience: At least 1 year of previous experience working in a school-based setting as a Special Education Assistant, paraprofessional, Behavior Interventionist (BII), Behavior Therapist (BT), or related position required Skills and Abilities Proficient with Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Proficient in data collection Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Alignment with core characteristics required of every PUC employee: pursuit of excellence, innovation, community, tenacity, and authenticity Must be flexible and team-oriented Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Bilingual in Spanish preferred Strong work ethic, accountability, and ownership of work Regular attendance, dependability, and punctuality in conformance with the standards are essential to the successful performance of this position The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Occasionally required to kneel, climb and reach with hands and arms above shoulder level, lift up to 30 pounds. To bend, sit, stand, squat, stoop, walk, push, pull, and reach with hands and arms at shoulder level or below.
