We are seeking a Special Education Teacher join our team in Fort Worth, Texcas

Salary: Earn up to $68,000

Responsibilities

  • The primary goal of the Teacher is to provide specialized instruction in an individualized program for students to empower them to become happy, confident, and productive members of their community.
  • Design, supervise and implement students’ IEP plans.
  • Create and coordinate student schedules with related services and general education.
  • Collect and analyze student data and monitor student progress.
  • Effectively working with a large team of professionals needs to coordinate services.
  • Participate in several staff development training courses that focus on working with students with Autism.
  • Implement state of the art strategies to work effectively with students with Autism.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Special Education (or equivalent credits) and a valid Texas Special Education certificate. Experience working with students with autism or emotional support, including student teaching, is required.

    Qualifications

    • Teachers working at a Merakey School are required to have a Bachelor's degree in Special education, or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 18 credits in special education and 6 credits in education theory.
    • Must possess a Texas Special Education certificate;
    • Experience working with students with autism or emotional support is required; this can include student teaching.
