Provides direct health services and education to students while collaborating with school principals and the School Health Program Coordinator. Acts as a liaison between the school, community agencies, and health professionals to manage student learning and health needs.
Requires a valid RN license in Idaho or Oregon and Basic Life Support certification. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing and National School Nurse Certification are preferred.
1. Colleague must have an RN license, as defined by their primary work state (Idaho or Oregon), issued prior to the hire date. · IDAHO ONLY: Multistate licenses must establish residency with the Idaho Board of Nursing within 60 days from hire. 2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred. 3. At hire, Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required. (ACLS and/or PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS) 4. Other certifications may be required as identified in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk 5. Program development and school health or pediatric nursing experience preferred. 6. National School Nurse Certification preferred. 7. Must have active driving privileges. If, during the course of employment, driving privileges change or colleague receives a driving citation, the colleague is required to notify their supervisor and/or HR. WHAT YOU WILL DO: 1.
