Summary of Major Duties/Responsibilities
Engage students with active learning in the lab or clinical setting.
Assist and supervise students with patient assessment, administration of medications and patient care procedures.
Provide clinical instruction at long term care, sub-acute and acute clinical sites.
Create a clinical environment which encourages the student’s academic growth and professional development.
Engage in the evaluation processes of the Practical Nursing Program to evaluate students.
Submit final grades and other program related materials in a timely manner.
Engage on ongoing continuing education related to teaching responsibilities and clinical nursing practice.
Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) capable of providing clinical instruction in long-term, sub-acute, and acute settings. Requires the ability to evaluate student performance and engage in ongoing continuing education.
