As an NC Pre-K Lead Teacher, you will lead a state-funded NC Pre-K classroom by implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with North Carolina Early Learning Standards. You'll create an engaging classroom where children build confidence, independence, social-emotional skills, and kindergarten readiness while ensuring compliance with NC Pre-K standards and licensing requirements. WHAT YOU WILL DO Lead an NC Pre-K classroom using developmentally appropriate instructional practices Create engaging lesson plans aligned with the NC Foundations for Early Learning and Development Maintain a safe, nurturing, and organized learning environment Foster children's cognitive, language, physical, emotional, and social development Complete ongoing child assessments and developmental documentation Build strong partnerships with families through regular communication and conferences Ensure classroom compliance with NC Pre-K and North Carolina licensing requirements Collaborate with administrators and fellow teachers to maintain high-quality programming Mentor and support classroom assistants while modeling best teaching practices Participate in required professional development and training WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR We're looking for educators who are passionate about preparing children for kindergarten success while creating joyful learning experiences every day.
