Essential Duties Assists in instructional activities as directed by the teacher- including direct instruction of students May assume responsibility for class when teacher is absent/unavailable Follows mobility, dining and direct care protocols as directed by the teacher or therapist and as noted on individual fact sheets Assists with management needs of students, including performing duties related to activities of daily living, (toileting, diapering, washing, tooth brushing), dress/undress, put on/remove adaptive equipment, set up students’ learning environment Carries out therapeutic goals within classroom activities as directed by and in conjunction with the therapist, includes systematic lifting and positioning of students and application and removal of equipment Records data, monitors student responses as directed by teacher or other team professionals Follows behavioral plans/intervention techniques for assigned students, as directed by teacher/school psychologist Communicates student information accurately and in a timely fashion to supervisor and/or appropriate team members.
