Duties and Responsibilities

Implement lesson plans and provide classroom instruction to students as outlined by the regular teacher. Demonstrate strong classroom management. Maintain, as fully as possible, the established routines and procedures of the classroom to which they are assigned. Maintain a safe and orderly environment. Maintain and respect confidentiality of student and school information. Report to the division office to check-in and out. Report all injuries, accidents, illnesses, and discipline problems to the appropriate individual(s) immediately. Comply with all school policies and procedures. Take attendance. Work Environment: This job operates in a professional school environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk and hear. This position is active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms above the head and reach forward. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Position Type: This is a long term temporary position.QualificationsQualifications: Bachelor's degree required. Experience working with children in a structured classroom setting required. Ability to follow oral and written directions. Ability to maintain effective classroom management strategies. Possess awareness of the unique needs of young children and have appropriate expectations of their abilities. Represent the school in the larger community in a positive manner that reflects that values of the school. Ability to interface and maintain effective relationships with students, faculty, and administrators. Professional written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree and experience working with children in a structured classroom setting are required. Candidates must possess strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain professional relationships with students and faculty.
